Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went in part-time jobs to increase her funds. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path when she was dissatisfied with her lack of skill in contrast to others Royal Academy students. Lennox played the flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. The group did not appear on the competition for talent New Faces on I.T.V. The main part of her role was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut album Diva. It was released in 1993. Commercially and critically the album was a massive hit. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record came out in November of 2014. This C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. It is a collection comprised of four songs composed by Lennox. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is a Scottish philanthropist political activist and singer-songwriter. After a brief success as a member of the band called The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 80s. Lennox debuted her solo music career in 1992 with her debut album Diva. The album featured a variety of famous songs like Walking on Broken Glass and What's the Matter with You. Medusa the album she released in 1995 includes cover versions of tracks including No MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums and one compilation album, are the result of her efforts.
